Winter vacations in Austria have somehow reinvented themselves at the Sperlhof. On the one hand, the hotel offer with SPA & indulgence is just right for cold days, on the other hand, the Pyhrn Priel region around our hotel has a lot to offer. With Hinterstoder and the Wurzeralm, there are two top ski areas with a total of 70 perfectly groomed and snow-covered, non-contiguous kilometers of slopes from "blue" to "black" and 20 lifts in the vicinity of our hotel.

But snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are also among the winter sports favorites. The Pyhrn-Priel vacation region also boasts a 120 km network of cross-country ski trails at four different altitudes. There are also more than 100 km of cleared trails around Windischgarsten and the eight other communities in the vacation region for relaxing walks in the clear mountain air. In addition to guided ranger tours on the trail of forest animals, there are also three high-altitude snowshoe routes with great views in the two ski areas. But ski tourers are also well catered for in the Pyhrn-Priel vacation region - even on full moon nights, when you can climb up to the Wurzeralm until 10 pm and ski down again after a rest in a hut.
